King County is moving ahead with its local strategy to prevent devastating Metro bus cuts. But before there can be a ballot measure to save service, the King County Council needs to form a Transportation Benefit District. The council is holding a public hearing to about this issue on February 4th, and we need to be there. We need to make sure they hear strong public support for sending a measure to the April ballot that will stop the 17% bus cuts.
Help us pack the room at this hearing and let the council know that we expect them to preserve basic mobility in King County.
What: A King County Council hearing for community input about forming a Transportation Benefit District
When: Tuesday, February 4th, 6:00 PM
Where: Union Station (401 South Jackson)
This is the only public hearing the Council will hold on this important issue. Councilmembers need to hear from you that buses are critical to your daily life and to our region’s economy, environment, and communities. Please attend the hearing and urge the County Council to vote to save bus service by forming a Transportation Benefit District.
