Stormwater
Transportation infrastructure is one of the largest sources of stormwater runoff directly impacting water quality in Puget Sound, with a one-acre parking lot producing 27,000 gallons of stormwater runoff from only one inch of rain. By targeting good land use management and innovative transportation policies, we aim to reduce associated stormwater and improve our region’s water quality, benefiting the residents of the Puget Sound watershed long term.
