Thanks for a memorable Ride Transit Month!

Thank YOU — riders, operators, advocates, and transit enthusiasts — for making Ride Transit Month 2021 a hit! You all shared your stories of riding transit during the pandemic (talk about resilient!), sported your rad Fund Public Transit gear around town, attended our Transit Talk, and celebrated a return to ridership with the TCC team. Your participation is inspiring and we are grateful for your spirited support to bring more and better transportation choices to all Washingtonians. You keep us all moving! 

This year, we launched a bold new Fund Public Transit gear campaign and saw supporters spread the message all over Washington, and even across the country! Over 150 people joined our Transit Talk to discuss the role and significance of transit in a just recovery. Our panelists talked about transit as a safe and healthy way to get around, transit plans as riders return to working in office, and forecasts for the future of ridership. Finally, we closed out the month with a virtual party filled with stories from dedicated riders and operators, interactive games, and dancing (what better way to celebrate transit movers and shakers than a little moving and shaking?). 

Our team has some fun plans in store for upcoming, in-person events — yes, we can’t wait to see you in-person soon! — so stay tuned for details.
