Sound Transit 3 Wins! TCC led the campaign that won $54B for light rail, bus rapid transit, commuter rail and express bus expansion in the Puget Sound region. This is the largest-ever transit expansion in Washington State and will transform communities positively for generations to come.
More Bus Service in Spokane and Ellensburg! In Spokane and Ellensburg, voters said yes to more transit service that will improve connections, add new routes, and increase frequency. TCC supported both campaigns to win educating more than 20,000 voters on the benefits of expansion.
Stronger Policies for Healthier and More Equitable Communities: Our policy work with our coalition ensured that Sound Transit 3 has a record level of investment in bicycle, pedestrian and affordable housing so that even more people can access transit. We’ve also kicked off a two-year project to add health and equity measures to long-range transportation planning in the Puget Sound region.

Here’s our game plan in 2017:
- Creating stronger communities by ensuring that health and equity is embedded into regional transportation planning and policies.
- Leading Sound Transit 3 implementation and supporting transit agencies across the state as they bring more transit service to you.
- Ensuring that transit, bike, and pedestrian projects are funded in the state budget based on the wins in the transportation package in 2015.
- Expanding educational programming, including more Transit Talks across the state, a bigger Ride Transit Month and more.
