In the past three years, both King County Metro and Sound Transit have substantively changed their fare enforcement policies. Transportation Choices Coalition and our partners at Transit Riders Union are grateful to see both agencies moving away from punitive measures for fare evasion and instead focusing on connecting people with information and resources.
On Tuesday, May 17, join TCC and TRU for Transit Talk: New Approaches to Fare Enforcement,
a webinar that will discuss the reforms at King County Metro and Sound Transit, and their expected impacts on riders. Joining us as speakers during this event will be:
- Katie Wilson: General Secretary of Transit Riders Union moderating the event
- Mitchell Lloyd: King County Metro Safety, Security, and Fare Enforcement (SaFE) Reform Initiative Lead
- Russ Arnold: Sound Transit, Chief Passenger Experience and Innovation Officer
Closed captions and live transcript will be enabled. Please contact McKenna Lux at firstname.lastname@example.org for any other accessibility requests. Use the form below to register for the May 17 event, and we’ll see you then!
