[Seattle, WA, July 23rd, 2018] Following a national search and a thorough evaluation of over two-dozen candidates, Transportation Choices Coalition is excited to announce that we have selected a new leader to champion our mission.
The Transportation Choices Coalition Board of Directors has voted to hire Alex Hudson as the organization’s Executive Director.
Alex was born in East King County to a farming family. She earned a B.A. from Western Washington University and has lived in Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood for nearly a decade. She joins TCC after having previously served as the Executive Director of the First Hill Improvement Association, a non-profit which works to ensure the rapidly growing First Hill community is a safe, welcoming, accessible, and exciting place where all people can thrive.
“I am thrilled to be joining Transportation Choices Coalition! TCC plays a vital role in ensuring that all of Washington’s communities benefit from meaningful investments in transit and mobility. It’s an exciting time for transit and transportation planning and project delivery, and TCC and our partners will ensure that communities flourish through equitable access to transit options that are well planned, affordable and efficient for all,” said Alex.
TCC board president Rob Berman adds, “Alex is collaborative, tenacious, and truly mission-driven. As Transportation Choices celebrates its 25th year, we are pleased to have her lead the implementation of TCC’s Strategic Plan.”
Alex will begin her new role on August 20th, and will be available for interviews at that time. Her first public appearance will be at TCC’s 25th Anniversary Gala on September 8th. Tickets are available now.
