Registration has closed! We look forward to seeing you all at Environmental Lobby Days!

The Washington State Legislature’s 2022 session starts, Monday, January 10. On January 25-27, we want you to join us to meet with legislators about transportation.

Transportation Choices Coalition is teaming up with Environmental Priorities Coalition–a group of organizations advocating for a greener future in Washington–for Environmental Lobby Days. This will be a time when hundreds of residents meet with legislators to let them know where we want Washington to go.

For the second time, legislative session will be completely remote, which means all meetings will take place over Zoom. Last year we learned an all-remote session makes communication between constituents and legislators more accessible as well as more challenging.

In this year’s short 60-day session, we want to make sure legislators hear that we want progress for people and the environment, including action on the climate crisis, salmon recovery, and sustaining healthy communities for generations to come. Environmental Lobby Days participants will be supporting and advocating for:

  • Transportation for All
  • The Lorraine Loomis Act for Salmon Recovery
  • Closing the GMA Sprawl Loophole
  • The RENEW Act
  • A partnership agenda including Energy for All led by Front and Centered and Buy Clean and Buy Fair led by the Washington Blue Green Alliance

We want you to join us for Environmental Lobby Days on January 25, 26, and 27, 2022. Use the form below to sign up, and we’ll help you team up with other activists from your district to speak up for a safe and sustainable transportation future, environmental health, and justice. You’ll have the opportunity to attend online issue briefings, learn how to lobby, hear from environmental champions, and meet virtually with your elected officials to advance the Environmental Priorities Coalition’s 2022 priorities and the Partnership Agenda.

Sign up below and we will keep you posted as your meeting schedule is confirmed. Legislative appointment times will vary depending on your district. This event is free, but requires pre-registration. Email mckenna@transportationchoices.org or kat@wecprotects.org if you have questions.
