Change is afoot in South Lake Union.  Recently, the Seattle City Council passed a bill that allows developers in South Lake Union to build taller buildings in exchange for affordable housing as part of the project or contribute funds that would go towards affordable housing elsewhere in the city.  So what does this all mean for the rapidly changing South Lake Union?

Learn more about how the city came up with the package of land use changes and what this means for affordable workforce housing and density in the neighborhood. We’ll also hear from developers and affordable housing advocates on the impact of these changes.

Join our panel for a conversation on South Lake Union, density and affordable housing and lessons learned.

Mike O’Brien, Seattle City Councilmember
Sheldon Cooper, Executive Director of Homestead Community Land Trust
A-P Hurd, VP of Development at Touchstone Corporation
Sharon Lee, Executive Director of Low Income Housing Institute
This Friday Forum is co-sponsored by Futurewise and Great City.
