We’ve been working for a long time to keep buses on the streets in King County. Now all of those efforts – from our years advocating in the state legislature for a sustainable funding source for transit, to our months working with the county to find the best possible solution to the crisis created by legislative inaction, to the many weeks of all hands on deck, round-the-clock effort on this campaign – come down to a single week.

Ballots are due by April 22nd. We have seven days to stop bus cuts and fix our roads by passing Proposition 1. Here’s what you can do to make sure the measure is successful.

1. Vote!
If you haven’t returned your ballot yet, do it now. We can’t afford for any of the people who understand the value of transit to skip this election. If you’ve already voted, let us know

2. Encourage your friends to vote
One of our biggest hurdles to overcome is that people don’t know an election is happening this month — and they definitely don’t know what’s at stake. Make sure your friends know you voted YES on Proposition 1 by changing your Facebook profile photo. Then, contact 10 friends and let them know how important it is that they vote yes by April 22nd.

3. Volunteer
We need all the help we can get contacting voters. Sign up to phone bank, doorbell, or pass out materials to bus riders. If you’ve been meaning to volunteer but haven’t yet, now is the time. Make sure you don’t have any regrets on April 23rd.

We need everyone’s effort to pass Proposition 1 on April 22nd. If you care about the mobility, prosperity, and health of our county, don’t leave anything on the table.

Let’s do this.
