Transportation Advocacy Day 2012

You made Transportation Advocacy Day 2012 a smashing success! Thank you so much for your participation.
Energized from all corners of the state, nearly 200 advocates—stretching from Bellingham to Vancouver and Seattle to Spokane—converged on Olympia in support of safer streets, equitable transportation funding, and healthier ways to get around. As our strongest supporters, your presence was the biggest reason why the day was so successful. So, thank you.
We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from many of you, from the buzz in the room to the comments written in the debrief forms. We also have made note of the ways we can improve for next year, including providing opportunities to meet earlier with neighbors in your district. And with the marked increase in participation this year, we will review more options that can accommodate additional capacity for next year.
On the legislative front, things continue to move quickly in Olympia. Please stay tuned to your email and our blog for current updates. Whether it is safer streets, equitable funding, or health and transportation, there will be many opportunities for you to help us meet our goals this legislative session.
Here’s how you can help immediately. We do not charge for advocacy day, and we even kick in a free breakfast and lunch, as well as carpools to get to Olympia (thanks to Zipcar). Please consider making a donation today so that we can keep Transportation Advocacy Day and other events free of charge.
Lastly, if you have any additional questions, feedback, or want some of the presentations you heard at advocacy day, please feel free to contact me!
Thank you again for your dedication for a better transportation future in Washington,
Andrew
