Transportation for Washington Petition

Get on board! Sign the petition in support of the Transportation for Washington campaign, a multi-year, statewide campaign to clean our air and water, invest in transit options that save people money, and build great, healthy communities to live, work, and play.

I fully support the Transportation for Washington campaign, a multi-year, statewide campaign to clean our air and water, invest in transit options that save people money, and build great, healthy communities to live, work, and play.

Transportation for Washington's three principles to guide policy are:

  1. Fix it first; Save lives. Repair the state’s crumbling bridges and roads first, then make sure new investments create jobs, encourages smart growth, reduces toxic runoff and global warming pollution.
  2. More transit choices. Increase transportation choices with an increased investment in transit while reducing traffic congestion, improving freight mobility, and decreasing pollution.
  3. Build healthy, sustainable communities. Support affordable and healthy neighborhoods that connect people to where they live, work, and play.

Tell State policymakers what you think!

The Washington State Transportation Commission has an online survey about transportation issues in your local area and across the State. It is your chance to let state transportation policymakers know what is most important to you.

Here is the link: http://voiceofwashingtonsurvey.org/

The survey allows you to grade the current transportation system in the state, locally and regionally.  It offers many opportunities to comment what you think is most important for the state's transportation system.  It allows you to assign percentages to different objectives, such as expanding transportation choices versus expanding capacity.
